  • Buffalo Check: A Versatile Collection

    Posted on by Ashley Pinchev

Our newest collection, Buffalo Check, is incredibly versatile due to its oversized dimensions. The scarf itself is 33 inches wide by 78 inches in length and is our widest piece. All of our scarves are already designed to be longer than standard to accommodate additional methods for styling each piece. The extra width lends our Buffalo Check Collection to being both a scarf and a wrap! We've compiled style tips below to demonstrate the versatility and incredible style of these pieces.
    As a Scarf
When wrapped around the neck, the extra width gives our Buffalo Check scarves a beautiful drape at the front. The 100% Merino wool weave is warm without being itchy. Ideal for Fall!
    As a Wrap
The Buffalo Check collection can also be worn draped over the shoulders. At 33" wide, there is plenty of fabric to keep you warm and toasty on a chilly day.
Do you know the history of the Buffalo Check pattern? Our collection is a modern take on the classic American pattern. The red and black Buffalo Plaid originally seen throughout the American West dating back to the 1800s actually hails from Clan McGregor in Scotland. • Travel in Comfort & Style, Not Your PJs

The Ultimate Comfy Travel Outfit (that doesn't look like pajamas)

Just as our company mission statement conveys, we believe fashion should be both effortless and classic. When traveling long distances, this can sometimes be difficult to accomplish while also achieving the most important aspect of travelwear: COMFORT. Luckily, we've compiled the holy grail of travel attire that will leave you looking and feeling like a well seasoned travel pro!

My husband and I both love to travel. We've traveled to many different parts of the world, usually with just a carry-on suitcase no less, and one of the pre travel things I always dread is choosing the best outfit for the airplane. Over the years I've developed a rhythm and a science to packing for international travel and I'm excited to share it!

The Lo & Sons OMG bag is my absolute favorite international travel accessory. It has a strap to fit easily over the handle of your suitcase and all the right interior pockets for your essentials such as laptop, ipad, passports, wallets, and even separate pockets for spare flats!

As someone who isn't a fan of the constricting nature of denim, I tend to opt for a pair of comfortable leggings that are a bit more interesting than just a plain black. I love the moto inspired leggings by alo. They are cute, comfortable, and extra long which all tall girls will appreciate. I like to add a classic white t-shirt as my base top layer since it is so easy to mix and match with accessories. This one by Vince is made of quality fiber which is so important as no one wants a see through t-shirt!

Airplanes and airports are often over air-conditioned and completely freezing. Adding layers on top of your basic travel outfit is essential for keeping comfortable and cozy. Plus, you don't have to worry about packing these sometimes bulky items into your precious suitcase space.  Our lightweight collection is ideal for travel as it isn't too heavy and also doesn't wrinkle immediately. The wide design of this particular collection allows for it to be worn effortlessly as either a scarf or a wrap. It is an absolute vacation essential and perfect to cozy up in during a long flight. Adding a light jacket on top is another layering hack that is highly recommended.

You never know when you may need to sprint through the airport to make your connection! Traveling internationally in sensible shoes, such as these adorable Nike sneakers, is a smart and comfortable choice. The sneaks are practical and adorable making them easy to transition into your vacation wardrobe. Wearing them also saves even more space in that suitcase! Plus, you'll be ready to hit the ground running and explore your newest destination even if your hotel room isn't quite ready yet to change your clothes.

    Happy Travels!

  • Casual Holiday Party Style

    Posted on by Ashley Pinchev

Whether its a friend or family's ornament exchange or a laid back white elephant gift exchange with the girls, a "go-to" holiday season casual look is a must!

Holiday looks don't require the incorporation of red and green clothing to be festive. Some of our favorite holiday looks are created from a neutral combination. This particular ensemble features black, ivory, and grey tones.

Leather pants are a fun take on jeans that can elevate any outfit and bring an additional level of interest. The ivory turtleneck is a beautiful neutral palette to showcase our light grey and ivory herringbone scarf. The herringbone scarf is an eye-catching piece that stands out on the black and ivory color palette we've designed here. The lace up flats are a bit fancier and more exciting than a plain ballet flat but more casual (and comfortable!) than a heel. The gold heel tips are a fun extra detail that adds a bit of holiday flair!

See the links below for outfit details:

    1. Worthington Corners Herringbone Collection scarf (Light Grey)
    2. Rag & Bone Skinny Leather Ankle Pants (Black)
    3. Theory Ribbed Knit Turtleneck Sweater (Ivory)
    4. Aquazzura Christy Lace Up Flats (Black)

  • Sparkle & Shine Formal Holiday Party Look

    Posted on by Ashley Pinchev

The month of December brings twinkly lights, a giving spirit, chilly weather, and of course many many holiday parties. As part of our series on dressing for the various festive occasions of the holiday season, I am beginning with a fun and sparkly look for a formal holiday soiree.

The holidays are the ideal time of year for sparkly, sequined dresses. I've always loved sparkle and take advantage of the holidays as my perfect opportunity to add a bit extra shine to my wardrobe. While midi length can be a bit restrictive, a longer hemline is more appropriate for a sequin dress in order to maintain a classy, adult appropriate look. This particular dress comes in multiple colors but I prefer the black or antique gold. The sparkly dress is rightfully the focal point so I've paired it here with basic black accessories that allow it to shine. These Jimmy Choo black leather pumps are a staple in every wardrobe! They are exceptionally comfortable for high heels and can be worn to a professional office, with a cocktail dress, or even a pair of jeans! Our black pashmina wraps perfectly around your shoulders to keep off the chill and add an additional element of luxurious detail.

    See below for outfit details:

    1. Dress The Population Marcella Open Back Sequin Body-Con Dress
    2. Jimmy Choo "Romy" Pointy Toe Pump
    3. Worthington Corners Pashmina in Black

    1. 5 Essential Winter Accessories

      Posted on by Ashley Pinchev

      Earmuffs

If you live in an especially cold climate, earmuffs are not only a fashion accessory but a necessity when outdoors in the winter! Often created of cashmere fabrics, earmuffs can also be lined with fur for added warmth and style. I love a great ponytail hairstyle all times of year and even more in the wintertime with a pair of furry earmuffs! The Surrell Leather & Mink Fur earmuffs are one of my favorites for this winter season. They are available in a grey/black combo as well as a brown/light brown option and are also made in the USA!

      Leather Gloves

A pair of quality leather gloves are an accessory that will last many many years. This classic is an essential winter piece this winter and all winters to come. It is important to select a pair that are made from quality, authentic leather. Most will also provide lined and unlined options. For colder climates, cashmere lined leather gloves provide extra warmth with a luxurious feel. I purchased my favorite pair of cashmere lined leather gloves from Madova in Florence, Italy many years ago. Luckily, these beautiful pieces are also available through Madova's online site

      Felt Hat

Felt hats are very popular this winter season. Their purpose is two-fold, they provide both warmth and style! The Rag & Bone wool felt fedora is one of my personal favorites. I especially love the almond brown color that is light enough to match most shades of brown as well as grey and black. It really is a perfect neutral that will be appropriate for years to come. These hats are also made of high quality materials in the USA!

      Scarf

Scarves have been iconic winter accessories throughout many decades of fashion styles and will continue to be into the future. The great variety of options allows for your style individuality to shine through based on the type of scarf that you choose and the way you choose to tie it on any particular day. One of our most versatile and fashion forward scarf collections is the Fluffy Collection. These are an absolute winter 2016 must have as their fuzzy look and feel and beautiful sheen are eye catching and head turning!

      Cape

A cape is an easy, effortless addition to any winter wardrobe. They are the quickest way to add a bit of flair to a comfortable outfit such as leggings and a sweater. Choosing a cape with added detail, like a patterned fabric or fur trim collar, brings extra interest and depth to your look. I am particularly fond of the Sofia Cashmere Fox Fur Cape.
